2. Eligibility The applicant should have an excellent academic career and a track record of high impact peer reviewed publications or should have invented technologies evident by granted Indian and/or International patents. The proposed research project must be of very high scientific quality, should clearly reflect innovative thinking, clear objectives and execution methodology. The applicant should have secured First Class in all academic degrees from the graduate level onwards. iii. NUMBER OF AWARD The number of award to be made in any year will be limited to maximum two. AGE LIMIT Any citizen of India, who has not attained the age of 35 years on December 31, of the year preceding the year of award, shall be eligible for the award. Only those born on or after 1 January, 1982 are eligible for consideration in the year 2017.  SELECTION PROCEDURE Candidates shortlisted by the Research Council will be invited to present their research work for consideration in Research Council Meeting of September 2017. The candidates thus called for the presentation are entitled for II AC return rail fare and local conveyance as applicable. Reimbursement will be made on production of tickets. The evaluation and recommendation of the Research Council are considered by the Council of the Academy which makes the final selection.
